Caring for Our World, Together
Join us for a meaningful afternoon of caring for the spaces we share.
In celebration of Earth Day, we invite our residents and Nature School families to come together for a campus and neighborhood clean up. Through simple, hands on work, we will restore and care for the natural environment that surrounds us.
This is an opportunity for children and adults to participate side-by-side, caring for the earth in a way that is tangible, collaborative, and rooted in community.
What to Expect
Think of it as a gentle, purposeful clean up walk or scavenger hunt.
Families are welcome to arrive anytime between 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. and explore the campus, upper field, playground, and surrounding neighborhood, collecting litter and helping to restore these shared spaces.
Gloves and bags will be provided.
Children are encouraged to participate alongside their caregivers.
Afterward, we will gather for lemonade and light refreshments.
A Living Lesson in Care
In Montessori, care of the environment is not simply taught. It is practiced.
As children participate in real work, they begin to understand their role in caring for the world around them. They experience responsibility, contribution, and connection through action.
This gathering reflects that belief.
A Special Part of the Day
Throughout the day, children will also be planting trees on campus with their class, including two trees generously donated by the Arbor Society.
These small acts of care, cleaning, planting, tending, are part of something larger.
They are how we learn to care for the earth.
