NCMA offers visitors the opportunity to tour its  Montessori Dementia Learning Lab, which showcases how to create a Montessori-prepared environment to support aging in place. The lab provides hands-on examples and strategies to enhance the quality of life for both caregivers and those living with Alzheimer’s Disease and related dementias.

The lab encompasses a specialized environment and approach to dementia care that incorporates principles of the Montessori method. It focuses on creating a prepared environment, offering purposeful activities, and promoting independence and autonomy for individuals living with dementia.
