Why Social Connections Matter
An Introduction to Montessori Longevity Coaching
Connection is not simply a comfort, it is essential to health.
Research increasingly shows that strong social relationships are one of the most powerful predictors of longevity and well-being. Meaningful friendships and community engagement support emotional resilience, cardiovascular health, and cognitive vitality throughout life.
Yet many adults today experience limited opportunities for meaningful connection outside of family and work.
Through our new Montessori Longevity Coaching program, the National Center for Montessori and Aging (NCMA) is exploring how intentional environments, meaningful activity, and community connection can support healthy aging.
This introductory session will explore how Montessori principles can be applied to strengthen social health, support caregivers, and foster thriving communities for older adults.
