Children's Valentine’s Farmers Market

  • 3015 Upton Drive Kensington, MD, 20895 United States (map)

We are delighted to invite you to our Children’s Valentine’s Farmers Market, a celebration of kindness, care, and connection.

Activities will be held indoors in the Young Children's Community classrooms

Before the snow falls, come for a waffle, squeeze an orange, sip something warm, make a bracelet, choose some flowers, and write a card to deliver to someone special this Valentine’s Day.

This gathering is an invitation to slow down and be together. Rather than a traditional Valentine’s celebration, children and families will move through a series of simple market stations that offer opportunities to practice love through real work, shared moments, and small acts of giving.

What to expect at the market

Waffles with Berries - Warm food shared in community reminds us that care is often expressed through nourishment and time together.

Coffee - A small act of care for adults, honoring the role of connection and conversation in community life.

Lemon Water & Hot Tea - A quiet offering of refreshment and warmth, a place to pause, notice one another, and feel held.

Orange Juicing - Hands at work, senses engaged, children experience the satisfaction of contributing something real for others to enjoy.

Flower Arranging - Children create something beautiful to give, discovering the joy of generosity and the language of flowers.

Bracelet & Necklace Making - An invitation to make a gift with patience and intention, celebrating love through creativity and attention.

Card Writing - A gentle space for words, drawings, and messages of gratitude, kindness, and love from the heart.

Friends, grandparents, and extended family are warmly invited. Both enrolled and non-enrolled families are encouraged to join us, so please feel free to spread the word.

In these small moments, sharing food, making gifts, and offering care, we practice what love looks like in daily life.

We look forward to welcoming you and celebrating together.
