NIMC Launches the Montessori Home Engagement Course
With the aging population of America growing three-fold by mid-century, and current policy trends that encourage aging-in-place, the demand for caregivers is growing exponentially. At the National Intergenerational Montessori Center (NIMC), we train direct support professionals and family care givers in the field-tested skills and knowledge required for success.
Whether you are interested in a career in home care, or you find yourself caring for your aging parents, this workshop provides introductory skills and knowledge on how to prepare the environment to promote independence, engage elders in personalized Montessori activities, and self-care for the caregiver to ensure everyone's well-being.
When: Saturday, March 14, 8:00am – 5:30pm.
Where: Crossway Community, 3015 Upton Drive, Kensington, MD 20895
Cost: $99 includes coffee breaks and lunch
The National Intergenerational Montessori Center (NIMC) is a partnership between Crossway Community and the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals (NCCAP). Our center serves as an innovative model for integrating Montessori across the life continuum.
