Friday Night Pizza in the Gardens

A new rhythm of food, firelight, and community

We’re dreaming up something special for our campus, a weekly Friday evening tradition where families, residents, neighbors, and friends gather to share good food, warmth, and simple joy.

Imagine this:

Children shaping their own flatbread pizzas.
A brick oven glowing in the back garden.
Parents gathered around firepits under bistro lights.
Residents stopping by for a drink, warm meal, and conversation.
New families discovering the beauty of our campus.
The sound of children playing freely on the playground as adults unwind in community.

It’s not just about pizza. It’s about creating a space where our school, our residences, and our surrounding neighborhood can meet, connect, and belong.

Our Goal: A Community Brick Pizza Oven

To bring this vision to life, we hope to install a brick pizza oven in the garden using the Enzo 90 DIY Kit by Forno Piombo, a durable, high-capacity oven that can cook multiple pizzas at once in 2 minutes! This allows us to serve everyone: children, caregivers, residents, volunteers, grandparents, and visiting neighbors. Thanks to the generosity of our community during the Lantern Walk, we have already raised $610 toward our goal of $3,400.

Why This Matters

Friday Night Pizza In The Garden is more than an event, it is an expression of who we are becoming: a community built on connection, belonging, and shared rhythm.

A place where:

  • Families gather after a long week

  • Parents meet other parents beyond the rush of drop-off

  • Residents feel welcomed and engaged

  • Neighbors discover a warm, open invitation

  • Children help make food they then share

  • Joy becomes something we practice together

This is radical hospitality in action, food, firelight, and friendship offered freely.

An Invitation to Our Wider Community

When the pizza oven is built, Friday nights will be open to everyone: parents, grandparents, caregivers, residents, alumni, neighbors, and friends. It will be a standing invitation to join us, to share a slice, pull up a chair, meet someone new, and feel at home on our campus.

Help Us Bring This Vision to Life

Every contribution helps us get closer to building a tradition that will warm our gardens and strengthen our community for years to come.

Together, let’s build a Friday night rhythm that nourishes the spirit as much as the meal, a place where connection rises like warm bread in a shared oven.
