Enriching people of all ages and from diverse cultural backgrounds.

The Intergenerational Learning Center applies Montessori philosophy via a “prepared environment” for adult learning and engagement. The ILC is a laboratory for learners to practice creative non-violence, healthy relationships, respect for the aging, and grace and courtesy.

Service learning. Professional development. Seniors and youth.
Something for everyone. And all together.

PROGRAM SPOTLIGHT:
From Can’t to Can Do

Crossway Community has recently partnered with Brush Development Company, a nationally recognized expert in the care of the aging, to offer “From Can’t To Can Do!: Montessori for Aging and Dementia.” The program will improve the quality of care available to our aging populations by equipping family members and healthcare professionals to “see the person and not the disease,” and create environments where the patient can succeed.

I have always believed that the most important learning happens across generations, across culture and with a spirit of generosity. Within our Intergenerational Learning Center, knowledge is being transferred, but most importantly, powerful relationships are being created.
