Update: Notifications of lottery status will be e-mailed Tuesday, March 27, 2012

Community Montessori Charter SchoolCommunity Montessori Charter School (CMCS) will combine Montessori educational practice, Crossway Community’s acclaimed model of intergenerational development, and public school access. Now authorized by the State of Maryland and the Montgomery County Board of Education, planning is underway to open the County’s first public charter school. Starting in August 2012 with classrooms of three and four year olds, CMCS will grow over the next few years to offer three classrooms serving children between the ages of three and six. Our long-range goal is to extend classes through third grade. (This is not a conversion of the existing Montessori programs at Crossway Community but a new and separate entity.)

Crossway Montessori Charter SchoolThe application window for CMCS is now closed.

For all applicants whose materials were received by 3:00 PM, March 1, you will receive notification of (1) the date of the lottery and (2) results of the lottery by March 30, 2012.
