The programs and services Crossway Community, Inc. provides are delivered through through three distinct but collaborative entities; the Family Leadership Academy, the Crossway Montessori Programs, and the Community Lifelong Learning Center.

At the Family Leadership Academy, young mothers are provided with the opportunity and the resources to reshape their lives and learn to be effective parents. During this time, their children attend the Crossway Montessori Programs, where they are encouraged to become independent, creative, and able thinkers. The Community Lifelong Learning Center brings the community to our campus through a variety of recreational, cultural, and civic events, fully bringing to life Crossway's mission to foster community, creativity and learning for all families.

The core of all Crossway programs is the belief that education is the key to success, and that every family, regardless of income or other factors, deserves the opportunity to succeed. Since its founding over 20 years ago, Crossway Community has served more than 600 families in its residential program, and more than 20,000 individuals who have benefited from its educational and referral services.

Family Leadership Academy
The Family Leadership Academy (FLA) is a unique on-campus, educational program designed to give single, economically disadvantaged mothers the tools they need to become effective parents and prepare them to succeed in education, in the workplace, and in the global economy. The curriculum of the FLA involves comprehensive and hands-on, experiential training in four content areas: health and safety, social and family development, financial literacy, and career planning and coaching.
Crossway Montessori Programs

Crossway Montessori Programs (CMP) is an independent, coeducational program for children from ages three months to six years. The curriculum and philosophy of CMP is derived from the century-old principles of Dr. Maria Montessori to create an environment that is responsive to each child's unique developmental needs, abilities, and interests. Our 'whole-child approach' fosters respect for oneself, others, the environment, and the global community.

Community Lifelong Learning Center
Crossway Community functions as a Community Lifelong Learning Center in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area by opening its doors to individuals and groups who utilize our facility to hold meetings, provide training, and run programs for more than 1,000 people annually. We welcome the community onto our campus, in large part because community integration is a critical component of Crossway’s Family Leadership Academy curriculum.
